I worked on an exciting sponsorship project in which my client RCS together with BNP Paribas partnered with Tennis South Africa to sponsor the inaugural Rising Star Tennis initiative. The sponsorship included a nationwide Primary Schools Tennis Tournament that culminated in an exhibition match between ATP stars Kevin Anderson and Lloyd Harris. From a work perspective, the project involved discussions to establish the sponsorship rights and managing the sponsorship over its duration on behalf of RCS to ensure the success of the partnership. I worked closely with the team from Tennis South Africa and the communications team from BNP Paribas. Due to the value of the sponsorship the Chief Executives of RCS and BNP Paribas CIB were closely involved so I worked closely with them. The best part of working on this project was the opportunity to be involved in an initiative with the power to create positive change and opportunities for young people. Managing this project was part of overseeing the Brand and Communications role at RCS.
